ABOUT THE BRANCH The Secure Communications branch is responsible for the development and support of secure telecommunication services for Australian government agencies. This includes the design, deployment, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure to support the Ministry and other whole-of-government initiatives.Secure Communications is responsible for providing and managing a range of secure telecommunication services which include:
the Ministerial Communications Network (MCN) which provides secure telecommunication services to all Ministers, Parliamentary Offices, and Agency Heads, in Parliament House and throughout Australia
the National TelePresence System (NTS) which provides secure video conferencing facilities at Australian Government offices, Parliament House and the offices of Premiers and Chief Ministers in every state and territory
