The School of Health Sciences is educating tomorrow's graduates in an environment that is contemporary, challenging, and adaptive to a rapidly evolving world. Our teaching programs are intrinsically interdisciplinary and cover a broad range of professional disciplines in the clinical and non-clinical health sciences, and in sport-related disciplines. These areas are underpinned by a strong focus on research and research-led teaching, which often involves partnerships with a range of external organisations. Our programs include undergraduate degrees, Honours degrees, coursework Master’s programs, and higher degree research programs (Masters and PhD).
This role teaches into our foundation health sciences degrees, as well as consultancy to School of Health Sciences, researcher and research programs.
About You and the Role
We are seeking a forward thinking, dynamic, and innovative scholar to take on a role at the level of Associate Professor (Level D) and provide general and high-level academic leadership within the physiotherapy field.
This position requires expertise and experience in broad areas of physiotherapy education and specific experience in one or more sub-discipline areas of physiotherapy.
The Associate Professor in Physiotherapy is involved in a range of academic activities including the further development, implementation, and teaching of the physiotherapy program and will be expected to conduct research (including gaining nationally recognised research grants), and supervise undergraduate (Honours) and postgraduate (Masters and PhD) students in their area of expertise. The appointee will contribute to further building our physiotherapy research, will work closely with research and teaching staff in the wider School of Health Sciences, and will be encouraged to develop collaborations with units across the wider University. This position will aim to further enhance relevant relationships external to the University, including for clinical placements.
The appointee will be based at the Campbelltown Campus, but multi-campus activities requiring travel between campuses and clinical sites will be required.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level D $197,077 to $216,457 p.a. (comprising Salary of $166,986 to $183,550 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading) with a University-wide 2.9% pay rise in October 2024
