One of our clients, Queen Margherita Pizza, is looking for a dynamic experienced Chef to join their team, who is very passionate about cooking and willing to work in a fast-faced, busy service environment. Queen Margherita Pizza is renowned for its authentic Italian cuisine and gourmet pizzas. The restaurant offers a variety of pizzas made with fresh ingredients, such as the signature Queen Margherita pizza with cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil. Other popular options include the Willow Special, featuring prawns, grilled zucchini, and feta, and the Mia, which includes pork sausage, caramelized onions, broccoli, and pecorino cheese?. The venue provides both dine-in and delivery services to nearby areas like Brighton, Hampton East, and Sandringham, ensuring that customers can enjoy their meals in various settings?. Position: Chef
Salary Range: $74k plus superannuation.
Location: 569 Hampton Street, Hampton, VIC 3188
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Crafting pizzas and preparing dough.
2. Preparing and cooking all menu items.
3. Assisting and coordinating all kitchen sections.
4. Assessing food requirements and consistently maintaining high standards of quality and quantity.
5. Ensuring readiness and preparation of all resources involved in menu item preparation.
6. Managing inventory and raw materials to track necessary food supplies.
7. Performing timely operations-related tasks, including oven temperature checks, dough quantity assessments, log checks, and receiving raw materials.
8. Managing the roster for all kitchen staff.
To be considered for this role, your key skills, attributes must include:
1. Relevant qualifications with at least 2 years professional working experience in pizzeria’s or a similar equivalent. Having solely managed a kitchen would be very beneficial.
2. Minimum qualification of Certificate IV or higher in Cookery.
3. Full working rights within Australia is mandatory.
