About the Company:
Our client is a leading provider of high-quality meats and poultry in Launceston. They are committed to providing our customers with the freshest and finest cuts of meat. They are currently seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team.
Your New Role:
As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and selling meat products to our customers. This includes cutting, grinding, and packaging meats, as well as maintaining clean and sanitary work areas.
Responsibilities:
Cut, trim, and prepare consumer-sized portions of meat for sale.
Use equipment such as knives, grinders, or bandsaws.
Weigh, wrap, and display cuts of meat.
Inspect and store meat upon delivery.
Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to according to sanitary regulations.
Work at a fast pace to keep up with customer demand.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
3 years previous experience as a Butcher.
Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
Ability to use hand tools and machinery safely.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work in a team.
High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
