About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to partner with Altrad at an exciting time, as we continue to grow as a global organisation. Supported by a management team in Perth and also on site, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, directing the project's resources; developing the project plan; and ensuring that the Project is completed on time, within budget, and quality standards.
Provide leadership and direction across the Project team
Management of contract administration procedures as required
Ensure appropriate project focus and allocation of resources to achieve schedule
Develop site/project strategy with internal stakeholders, ensuring business initiatives are designed in alignment with overall business plan
Conduct trend analysis, highlight key bottlenecks and leverage points within the project
Manage the engagement and performance of external contractor and suppliers and monitor the quality and standard of services delivered by external contractors, as required
Develop and maintain effective networks through collaborative relationships with client and suppliers
Contribute to succession planning and development of management competency, including appropriate training and assessment in order to competently, safely and productively perform all aspects of their role
Establish and implement clearly defined project and cost controls
Actively review productivity performance, monitor achieved norms and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are implemented
Ensure that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that Company procedures are followed.
Actively promote safety awareness and safe work practices and compliance with safety management plans
About you
At least 10 years relevant working experience, with at least 8 years in in the mining sector and 5 years in project managerial position (Sustaining Capital exp advantageous)
Possess a project specific construction trade discipline or engineering degree
Experience in commercial management and a variety of commercial arrangements (Lumpsum, TBE, SOR)
Flexible and excellent communicator
Knowledge and expertise of Construction management practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of the project
Sound knowledge of industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the project
Strong leadership and seasoned people management skills
Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
