As a Supplement Production Operator at DIT AgTech, you will play a crucial role in the production process of livestock supplements. You will be responsible for following quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures, accurately mixing supplements according to instructions, packaging and labeling products correctly, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment to meet workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with logistics personnel to ensure a steady supply of raw materials for production.

This role requires significant physical strength and fitness due to frequent heavy lifting and manual physical tasks. Applicants must be capable of lifting heavy items (bags up to 50kg, but mostly 25kg) regularly and performing physically demanding activities throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities:
• Follow QA and QC procedures to ensure the quality and consistency of livestock supplements.
• Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to formulation instructions.
• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Package finished supplements according to specified guidelines.
• Apply accurate labels to products, including batch numbers, expiration dates, and other required information.
• Ensure all packaging materials are stored and handled appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the production area and warehouse.
• Adhere to WHS protocols to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and report any shortages or discrepancies to management.
• Work closely with logistics personnel to coordinate the timely delivery of raw materials.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production schedules, inventory status, and any issues that may arise.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in production and warehouse operations.
• Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge of supplement production processes.

Skills and Experience:
• Ability to accurately measure and mix ingredients following formulation instructions.
• This position requires significant physical strength and fitness due to the nature of the work, which involves frequent heavy lifting and manual physical tasks. Applicants must be capable of lifting heavy items (bags up to 50kg, but mostly 25kg) regularly and performing physically demanding activities throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail in packaging and labeling processes.
• Good organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in food science, agriculture, or a related field is advantageous.
• Proven experience in a production environment, preferably in the agriculture or food industry.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Manual drivers licence essential.
• Forklift licence essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety protocols.
