Camplify Holdings Limited (CHL): is a global adventure travel technology company. Formed in 2021 we have three travel brands: Camplify, PaulCamper and MyWay.

Camplify: was founded in Newcastle, Australia, in 2015, and is a peer-to-peer van-sharing platform operating across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Spain. It has been identified as one of Australia’s fastest-growing companies, placing #9 in the AFR’s Fast 100 (2022) and #4 in AFR’s Most Innovative Companies (2022).

PaulCamper: another peer-to-peer van-sharing platform, was founded in Germany in 2013 and has since expanded to Austria, the Netherlands and the UK. PaulCamper was acquired by CHL Group in 2022 and continues to operate from its HQ in Berlin.

MyWay: provides a suite of insurance products to RV owners and hirers, giving them the confidence to fully engage with CHL Group’s peer-to-peer platforms.

Together, these three brands form a global group focused on elevating outdoor experiences through scalable tech solutions. We’re transforming the way people access the outdoors and explore the world around them

About the role:

Camplify has undergone an HR digital transformation over the past 12 months.  We now have a best in class HR tech stack (HRIS, ATS, LMS) and have launched some awesome talent programs but there is so much more we can and want to do to ensure our people are engaged and performing at their best.  That’s where you come in - we’re looking for a strategic, innovative Head of People & Culture to continue driving improvements.     Someone who is comfortable challenging legacy systems and driving the change necessary for us to become an employer of choice. 

In this role you will report to the ANZ Market lead who is passionate about People & Culture and will support your efforts.  You will join the ANZ Leadership team and remuneration committee.  Your new role will be supported by a People & Culture Advisor in Newcastle and you’ll work collaboratively with the European P&C team to ensure our core systems and processes are aligned.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all human resource functions to provide relevant and responsive frameworks and procedures to support the effective functioning of the business.
  • Contribute to the development of a collaborative high performing organisational culture by building employee and organisational capability.
  • Provide sound and expert advice to senior managers on operational people matters, risks, issues and trends to keep managers informed and supported including coaching managers in relation to change management, engagement, and workforce planning issues.
  • Develop, implement and monitor systems, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and standards, across all key employment regions
  • Lead the L&D strategy. Analyse the company’s training needs with senior leaders, build out learning solutions and implement them in an engaging and effective way.  
  • Work closely with our payroll manager to ensure accurate and timely payroll for our team.
  • Provide a superior level of support and always maintain a professional approach (both internally and externally) and a high level of confidentiality
  • Coach and counsel senior leaders and managers regarding style and impact for high-performance
  • Manage complex workplace people issues including grievances, performance improvement, conduct and other investigations, disciplinary matters to build a harmonious and productive working environment.
  • Identify, analyse and review emerging people and culture policy issues and trends, review and interpret relevant areas of research and provide evidence-based and industry best practice recommendations.
  • Understand the ASX environment and help ensure reporting compliance and engagement of the Remuneration Committee.
  • Tertiary education in Human Resources or Business.
  • 7+ years’ experience post-graduation in HR positions
  • You must be based in Newcastle and able to work in the office at least 3 days per week.
  • Experience working with HR technology (ideally HiBob and Workable)
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Problem solver focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Energetic personality who enjoys challenging the status quo.
  • Passion for learning and history of implementing best practices and strategies that have driven employee engagement, performance and culture improvements.
  • Strong experience in L&D would be highly regarded.
  • HR Awards would be highly regarded.
