1. Job Purpose

As a System Analyst at our expanding medical practice, your primary responsibility is to analyze our current systems and processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement efficient technological solutions to streamline operations. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements, ensuring the smooth integration of new systems. Your role will also involve troubleshooting and providing ongoing support to maximize the effectiveness of our technology infrastructure, ultimately contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and the overall growth and success of our practice.

2. Job Duties and Responsibilities

Nature of the Job: The system analyst plays a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining the technology systems that drive the medical practice's operations.

Why: To optimize and streamline the practice's technological infrastructure for efficient patient care and administrative processes.

How: By evaluating existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing new technologies or system enhancements.

Where: Both within the practice's physical locations and through virtual systems used for telemedicine and remote patient management.

How Often: Continuously to ensure the practice is technologically up-to-date and in compliance with industry regulations.

Nature of Contact: They also engage with external vendors, technology partners, and regulatory bodies to stay abreast of industry standards and best practices.

· Collaborate with staff to identify and document operational needs for the piloting of an added functionality to the electronic health record and patient management system

· Analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose improved business practices and system enhancements for a general practice.

· Develop and execute system test plans to ensure system quality and integrity.

· Coordinate with various departments to gather and analyze data for system project decisions.

· Enhance cybersecurity measures to protect patient data and ensure regulatory compliance.

· Improve interoperability with other healthcare systems and institutions.

· Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on new systems and technologies.

· Demonstrate a commitment to Environmental and Equal Opportunity objectives, to ensure a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.



3. Required Qualifications

· Tertiary qualifications in a relevant technology field is essential; health related experience is desired but not necessary.

· Knowledge of healthcare information systems and electronic health records is desired

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with medical professionals and IT teams.

· Experience with business modelling, forecasting, process improvement, simplification and automation with the ability to coordinate complex projects through development to predetermined timelines and budget allocations

· Experience in cross functional business partnering and managing multiple stakeholders, such as Digital Marketing, billings and finance.

· High level skills in written communication with the ability to synthesise information and clearly articulate evaluative arguments.

4. Working Conditions

Location: The job will be performed at 2 locations in rural and regional Queensland.

Type of Employment: The position is full-time only.

5. Benefits and Perks

Salary range of $70,000 - $78,000 pa + plus superannuation + salary packaging benefits.
