L&PP Mackin PTY LTD is a local family owned and operated forklift company and have operated in the Goulburn Valley and surrounding areas for over 42 years. They are currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Forklift Mechanics to join their team in Shepperton VIC 3630.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Servicing forklift ranging from 1.5 tonne to 12 tonne, which includes diesel, petrol, LPG and electric
- Preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown call outs for our hire fleet
- Maintain forklifts by carrying out services and filling out service schedules and documenting repairs where required, then liaising Workshop - Manager regarding repairs
- Carrying out repairs to forklifts as verified by customers
- Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on forklifts
- Onsite servicing and repairs making sure service van/ute is correctly stocked before leaving workshop
- Dismantle and reassemble forklifts using ramps, jacks and hand tools
- Operation and inspect forklifts and diagnose defects
- Overhaul and test forklift to ensure operating efficiency
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts as authorised by Workshop manager and customer
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Read and understand service manuals
Skills and Abilities:
- Good technical skills
- Electrical and/or mechanical skills
- Teamwork skills
- The ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Communication skills
Qualifications and work experience
- Ideally have a Certificate III in Forklift Technology or relevant
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant field
Salary range is from $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
