2 Elements is a renowned fusion restaurant located in Frankston, VIC, offering a unique dining experience with low and slow open flame cooking and a sophisticated cocktail bar. We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our dynamic team and contribute to our innovative culinary offerings and exceptional service standards.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Plan and design innovative menus for diverse cuisines
- Estimate food and labour costs accurately
- Order and manage food supplies efficiently
- Monitor quality of dishes at all preparation stages
- Discuss food preparation issues with staff and management
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on procedures
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes
- Ensure compliance with hygiene regulations
- Select and train kitchen staff
- Freeze and preserve foods as necessary
- Coordinate set menus and large-scale buffet events
- Manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- Minimum three years of experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Proven expertise in multi-cuisine menu planning and execution
- Strong kitchen management and team leadership skills
- Commitment to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to estimate food and labour costs accurately
