The Australian Government is investing $230 million over the next 10 years in flood warning infrastructure in Australia's highest flood risk areas. This investment will enable the Bureau to simplify ownership and maintenance of high-priority flood warning assets through the acquisition, upgrade and integration of more than 500 key local government-owned, and some state government-owned rain and river level gauges into its existing flood warning network across Australia. The Bureau seeks an experienced individual to lead the development and execution of a range of delivery plans for the Flood Warning Infrastructure Network (FWIN) Program. This includes:
establishing delivery strategies for each state and territory, ensuring they align with the approved scope, while also allowing for adaptability with jurisdictional priorities
