A Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns for our exported product lines. This role involves collaborating with various departments and managers to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts. The Marketing Coordinator plays a critical role in the execution of advertising, public relations, sales, and marketing policies and plans.
• Develops and executes advertising campaigns in collaboration with the sales team. Ensures that all advertising efforts align with the overall marketing strategy and company goals.
• Works with external public relations provider to create and maintain a positive public image for the company. Coordinates public relations activities, including press releases, media relations, and event planning.
• Assists in the creation of sales and marketing plans. Collaborates with sales managers and other stakeholders to develop strategies that drive sales and enhance market presence.
• Helps define the product mix based on market research and sales data. Ensures that the product offerings meet customer demands and market trends.
• Works with sales managers to ensure optimal coverage and effectiveness in different regions.
• Develops and implements social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and traffic. Manages social media accounts, creates content, and analyses performance metrics.
• Establishes and maintains high standards for customer service. Develops training programs and resources for the sales team to ensure excellent customer interactions.
• Coordinates with the sales and merchandising teams to develop effective merchandising strategies. Ensures that products are presented in a way that maximises sales and aligns with the brand image.
• Works with distribution partners, internal logistics teams and procurement team to establish efficient distribution channels. Ensures that products are delivered to customers in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Assists in setting product prices based on market analysis, cost considerations, and competitive landscape. Ensures that pricing strategies are aligned with overall business goals and profitability targets.
• Develops and manages credit policies in consultation with the finance team. Ensures that credit terms are favourable for both the company and its customers, while minimizing risk.
Qualifications and Attributes
• Proven experience in marketing, sales or a related role within the Flower Industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration or related field
• Qualification in Project Management is highly regarded
• Proficiency in using marketing software’s and tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop and others.
• Proficiency in data analysis and market research
• A solid understanding of marketing principles and strategies
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
