Randstad has been given the opportunity to recruit an exclusive opportunity of a Quality & Safety Officer for our clients based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. This position would be joining a leading manufacturer and supplier of the transport industry, providing a comprehensive range of technology to the truck and trailer sector.
With a presence in each state of Australia this role would be based out of the Head Office site in Melbourne who are actively growing and expanding their team. This position would be an opportunity for an individual to join a fast paced environment within a well established company and will be reporting to Managers that are passionate about what they do every day.
YOUR DAY TO DAY:
Monitor daily quality of the overall process of manufacturing as well as products
Ensure quality performance is in accordance with companies procedures and contractual obligations
Conduct investigations of products and have a deep understanding of this previously
Conduct Internal & External Audits
Training of staff in line with Quality & Safety guidelines
Helping to build and expand on QMS
Travel to sites across Australia to roll out training
Take responsibility of rolling out safety system to the team
Implementing corrective & preventive measures
Actioning Quality and Safety practices to the team and wider business
Help reduce incidents & LTI;s by implementing safety measure, checks and ensure a safety first culture
Support on maintaining the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 45001)
Identify tasks that require SOP, create and review SOPs
Identify the need and support the creation of procedure and policies to improve safety in the team
ABOUT YOU:
Experience within the Manufacturing Industry is essential, ideally within Heavy Manufacturing
Prior experience within Safety and/or Quality is required
Engineering qualification is highly regarded
Knowledge of systems management requirements ISO 9001 & ISO 45001
Knowledge and prior use of Microsoft 365 is highly preferred
Knowledge and prior use of Power Apps are highly desirable
Root Cause Analysis experience
Risk Assessment training
