This HUB role would be looking after 2 properties, Novotel Newcastle Beach & Ibis Sydney Barangaroo where this role will be based. At Ibis it enjoys pride of place near the waterfront in Sydney's most desirable location of Barangaroo, the hotel features 91 compact rooms that have the essentials for a great visit to Sydney’s city. THE ROLE:
The Financial Controller will be responsible for working with each hotel to find positive outcomes and maximize margins. Reporting directly to the General Managers of each hotel, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of budgets, financial and management reports
- Benchmarking and innovatively finding new opportunities for growth and efficiencies in the business.
- Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Finance Department, including, accounts Receivable/Payable, audit and payroll functions
- Train & Developing a small Finance team including other departments
- Ensure that all Departments and Senior Leaders adopt policies and internal controls maximising Departmental profit
- Be directly accountable for the compilation of the annual budgets and monthly forecasting
- Prepare and collate accurate and timely weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports. As well as payroll, profit and loss and revenue forecast reports
- Involvement in BAS and other tax requirements
