Love and Care PTY LTD The role (Please read carefully before applying) We are seeking a Residential Care Officer to work in Daily Living and Supported Independent Living (SIL) support who is available to work Monday to Friday and is also open to work during the weekends. · Contribute to the daily operation of services that provide life skill development, social inclusion and vocational opportunities for people with a disability. · Attending to varying levels of personal care and domestic duties under direct or routine supervision as part of a team. · Maintaining thorough progress records to meet Individual goals in line with their NDIS Plan. · Ensuring participants continue learning and participate in meaningful recreational, social, and cultural activities. · Build respectful and professional relationships with participants, families and community members involved in disability programs. Assisting clients with personal care: showering, toileting, dressing, grooming and domestic care ? Supporting client with daily life activities such as shopping, grocery and community participation ? Medication management, infection control and nursing care ? Understanding challenges faced by client with mental health and provide positive approach to manage their goals ? Creating a safe and comfortable environment ? Transportation and supporting social engagement ? Having a calm approach to client’s behavior Qualification & Experience Certificate III in Disability Support (or an overseas equivalent), or is committed to take it within the first 6 months upon hire. Higher level of qualifications preferred. · NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module · Police Check, Working with Children Check · Current First Aid Certificate · Current driver’s license · Experience with providing care and supervision for disabled people in group housing or institutional care · Experience monitoring and reporting progress of clients · Experience preparing submissions for funding and resources, and reports to government bodies and other agencies About Company Love And Care Disability services was established in July 2015.
