Endress+Hauser Australia has experienced considerable growth. As a result, a new full-time position for an experienced Materials Engineer has become available for our WA Engineering team, located in Perth.
Role + Responsibilities:
Assess and plan control systems for process using Endress instrumentation for liquid and other materials analysis
Test materials to ensure they meet specific requirements for strength, durability, and other characteristics
Ensure the right materials and equipment are used in client’s industrial and production plants that they conform to specifications
Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure consistency in client’s material production processes
Collaborate with other engineers to solve materials-related problems in various industries using Endress+Hauser's solutions
Stay current with advancements in materials science and technology through continuous learning and professional development
Evaluate the environmental impact of materials and recommend sustainable alternatives to clients
Assess and implement corrective measures related to product utilization, in the chemical and metal industries
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all materials-related processes.
Skills + Experience:
Relevant bachelor’s degree and minimum 2-3 years of experience working with engineering instrumentation
Strong understanding of material properties, including mechanical, thermal, and electrical characteristics
Ability to analyze and interpret data using statistical tools
Knowledge of materials modeling and simulation techniques
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present findings effectively
A good understanding of industrial plant, power stations, machinery and the processes monitored and controlled by process instrumentation is essential
Project management skills
Attention to detail and ability to adhere to quality and safety standards
Previous work involving materials failure analysis and troubleshooting.
