About the Opportunity
In your position as a Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological services to Clarence Correctional Centre that support successful inmate rehabilitation in line with Sercos key operating principles.
Your ideal skills and experience
Minimum four-year accredited qualification in psychology with current provisional or
full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
Ideally experience working in a Correctional environment delivering the suit of EQUIPS, Real Understanding of Self Help, and Out of the Dark programs (not essential)
Experience in or willingness to learn assessment and treatment in psychology including mental health issues, cognitive impairment and with respect to behaviour management.
Experience in or willingness to learn advisory and consultation.
Ability to develop knowledge and understanding of contemporary correctional concepts, principles, and practices relevant to psychology assessment and treatments.
Knowledge of or interest in criminogenic risk
