Overview
Our client, a leader in engineering solutions with a focus on machining and fabrication, is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Established in 1998, the company offers precision services such as turning, milling, fabrication, surface grinding, and slotting. With a commitment to quality and timely delivery, the company utilises advanced CNC technology and CAD/CAM software to serve a diverse industrial client base. The CEO will lead the company, steering its strategic direction and ensuring its policies and practices align with corporate objectives and regulatory standards.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Responsibilities
• Formulate and articulate the company's long-term vision and strategic roadmap aligning with industry trends and market demands
• Develop and implement comprehensive policies, strategic programs, and initiatives to drive organisational growth and competitive advantage
• Strategically allocate and optimize the use of material, human, and financial resources
• Oversee the integration and coordination of all operational activities to ensure seamless interdepartmental collaboration and operational excellence
• Continuously monitor, analyse, and evaluate the company’s performance metrics, providing strategic insights and adjustments
• Engage in regular consultations with senior management, providing guidance on complex issues and reviewing detailed recommendations and analytical reports
• Lead the preparation and presentation of detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to the board of directors
• Represent the organisation at high-level industry events, official functions, and strategic negotiations
• Lead high-stakes negotiations with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to secure favourable outcomes
• Act as the primary liaison between various operational units, ensuring cohesive execution of strategic initiatives and effective communication
• Oversee the talent acquisition strategy for senior management positions, ensuring the selection of individuals who align with the company’s strategic vision and culture
• Ensure rigorous compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, implementing robust governance and risk management frameworks
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence, encouraging creative problem-solving and forward-thinking throughout the organization
• Serve as the chief spokesperson and public face of the company, managing public relations and maintaining a strong, positive corporate image within Australia and internationally



Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Engineering or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are highly desirable
• At least 5 years of senior management experience in the engineering or manufacturing industry
• At least 5 years’ experience as the head of the organisation or business unit
• Previous leadership experience must in be at a CEO, GM, or similar executive-level position
• Must have excellent governance and legal knowledge, and experience working with a board
• Proven track record of successful leadership and strategic management
• Experience leading and implementing plant capacity projects
• Experience leading business expansion and market development
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage complex budgets
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Deep understanding of corporate governance
• English (others would be an advantage)
