The position is responsible for managing the maintenance and engineering function with the objective of ensuring the safety and comfort of guests during their stay and protecting and maintaining hotel asset.
- Plan and carry out preventative maintenance throughout the Hotel to ensure standards are maintained for a positive guest experience.
- Prioritise and carry out maintenance as requested to ensure the smooth running of all hotel departments.
- Effectively use the results of guest feedback to improve product and service delivery.
- Manage the engagement of contractors within the hotel, ensuring work is standard, to manufacturers specification, in line with legislative requirements and completed within budget and on time.
- Maintain gym equipment in safe working order according to manufacturer specifications.
- Assisting hotel management with emergencies and maintenance issues and incidents.
- Ensure all team members are competent in the safe and effective use of equipment and chemicals in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Prepare monthly maintenance reports, commenting on key performance indicators and action taken to keep on target.
- Be actively involved in the Hotels’ Occupational Health & Safety and Emergency Response team.
