About the role:
V2 Digital is looking for a skilled Cloud Consultant with experience in the Information Technology and Services industry to join our dynamic team. Your primary focus is on automating processes, improving deployment frequency, and maintaining a stable and reliable infrastructure to deliver high-quality software products efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to support the company's digital services.
- Develop automated deployment processes for software applications.
- Collaborate with software engineers to optimise the performance and availability of the systems.
- Monitor system health and application performance to ensure high availability and optimal user experience.
- Implement and maintain effective security measures to protect all aspects of the infrastructure.
- Work with software engineers to implement monitoring and logging solutions to provide timely feedback on system and application performance.
- Continuously improve infrastructure processes and practices to optimise efficiency and scalability.
- Lead migration initiatives in moving workloads and data from on-prem to cloud and from cloud to cloud.
What's required:
- Several years experience as a Cloud Consultant or related role.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with deep expertise in at least one of these.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of Linux systems administration.
- Hands-on experience with database systems like MySQL, Postgres, or MongoDB.
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
