Centrally located next to the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel and minutes from Circular Quay, Martin Place and the Royal Botanical gardens, The Flynn combines an eclectic-styled twist, with a classic after-work sports bar, restaurant and private dining space.
We are currently looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team.
To be considered for this position, you will need to hold at minimum, a Diploma of Hospitality in addition to 2 years of full time relevant experience. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.

You will be required:
- To plan, organize, lead, and control all activities including special events and functions, menus, and services of the restaurant on cost effective methods, and to the optimal satisfaction of its internal and external customers.
- To promote all food and beverage activities, menus, and services at the restaurant.
- To select, monitor and continuously train each waiting and kitchen staff in the restaurant including strongly encouraging and facilitating their development.
- To develop and sustain good hygiene and food safety practices of the restaurant, to meet optimal standards of the organization.
- To formulate, implement and sustain operational policies, procedures, and tools of the restaurant, to meet optimal standards of the organization.
- To purchase and negotiate with the suppliers to be within budget and maintain financial transactions.
- To price the goods according to costs and profit margins.
- To follow up the critical stock levels for the major consuming raw foods and drinks, keeping proper stock lists.
- To control and maintain inventory of the restaurant.
- To grant customer satisfaction about meals, service, and timing.
- If needed, greet customers, take reservations and assist the wait staff in taking orders.
- Establish and maintain effective communication between fellow employees and other departments.
- Achieve organization objectives in sales revenue.
- Safekeeping of business sales revenue and source documents and to deliver those to owner and accounting service provider.
- Ensure that the physical count of inventory is conducted monthly.
- Evaluate actual performances of sales versus inventory consumption and make monthly appraisals, identifying areas for minimizing waste, minimizing cost and development needs, and with co-ordination of owner.
- Manage staff costing.
This is a full time position working 38 hours per week.
A remuneration package of $75,000 + super will be offered to the successful candidate.
