Construction Project Manager
Salary Offer: $107,000 P.A + SUPER

Selection Criteria (Minimum qualifications, skills, experience)
· Concrete sawing & drilling industry experience (minimum 5 years)
· Experience performing similar duties (minimum 2 years)

Reports to
- Operations Director

Responsibilities:

- Project Management and planning including coordinating labour resources, along with the procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment
- Oversee and implement work programs across multiple works sites
- Develop and maintain client relationships and key partnerships, including negotiating with principal contractors, clients, owners as well as other subcontractors involved in the construction or remediation process to facilitate on time and within budget completion
- Developing, reviewing and negotiating contracts, programs, projects and services including consulting with the various stake holders such as Architects, Project Engineers, along with other trade and technical workers
- Ensure compliance with building and construction legislation, standards of performance, quality, and safety. This includes ensuring adequate resources are allocated to quality, workplace health & safety (WHS), and environmental matters including human and technical resources in order to achieve a safe workplace and operation without risk to quality, health or environment, as well as ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the effective implementation of a safe working culture, ensuring all health and safety policies/procedures are followed including verifying completion of Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) and pre-start inspections prior to commencement of works
- Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, near misses, accidents, incidents, and injuries with a view of determining and implementing (where required) corrective and preventive action

Duties

- Overseeing work by subcontractors and reporting on variations to work orders
- Responding to inquiries and resolving problems concerning contracts, programs, projects, services provided, and persons affected
- Collecting and analysing data associated with projects undertaken, and reporting on project outcomes
- Attend site meetings, take minutes and distribute
- Review and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications to facilitate
>Tendering, quoting, submission and lodgement as required
>Planning, scheduling and execution of works
- Preparing customer quotations & tendering including lead generation and sales conversion
- Arrange work inspections by the various stake holders including clients, contractors, local authorities
- Maintain knowledge of the various sawing and drilling skills in order to facilitate the provision of onsite training & assessment

Essential Skills

- Hands on concrete sawing and drilling experience (minimum 5 years)
- Well-developed organisational, planning and prioritisation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to quickly identify and solve problems
- Strong customer service skills
- Professional and clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to resolve customer conflicts proactively and effectively
- Efficient time management and organization skills
- A high standard of personal integrity, self-discipline and responsibility
- High level attention to detail
- Highly motivated and ambitious with drive and passion for the construction industry
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks

Experience

- Previous experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar capacity (minimum 2 years)
- Experience within specified construction industries such as civil infrastructure; government works, subdivisional, structural civil works, mining infrastructure, rail infrastructure; main road works (desirable)
- Demonstrated understanding of contract management relating to consultants, contractors and suppliers
- Managing Subcontractor accounts (incl. timesheets/dockets, Payment Claims, Payment Schedules)
