A rare opportunity for an experienced Pricing Manager to join an established global business
Your new company
Operating out of more than 50 countries, this tier 1 business in the freight forwarding space provides quality services for a range of industries, from raw materials, pharmaceuticals and much more. As a result of strong, sustained growth over a number of years, this business now has a need for an experienced, commercially minded National Pricing Manager to help ensure continued growth.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Procurement, you'll be responsible for executing a strong growth strategy through pricing support for business development. This will entail building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will:
Actively seek insights on information pertaining to customers to ensure the most appropriate pricing solutions
Regularly negotiate the best possible pricing opportunities with airline and shipping line partners
Ensure the success of the Procurement Department through achieving gross profit, volume and win rate targets
Maintain the balance between both GP and volume on a national scale
Foster productive stakeholder relationships with shipping lines, airlines, hauliers, and internal stakeholders
Provide monthly reports to the Regional Head of Procurement focusing on business performance
Be proactive in sharing target customer information on pricing, whilst ensuring the wider procurement teams remain informed
Work collaboratively with development teams to ensure various pricing options are provided to customers
Use market knowledge in tandem with the development and procurement teams to build business volumes
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be an expert in the freight forwarding space with a proven track record of increasing GP and volume. Additionally, you'll require:
Strong knowledge of pricing along with excellent negotiation skills
Proven experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding space
High levels of customer centricity
A collaborative nature to your work, having had numerous years' experience working with other business arms such as procurement and business development teams
Proven track record in confidently managing stakeholder relationships
