One of Japan’s leading consumer products manufactures. They have operated business mainly across Asia, and their main business categories are toothbrushes, toothpastes, detergents, hair-care products, skin-care products and pharmaceuticals.
We are looking for a skilled passionate Senior Marketing Strategist to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate with the members in Australia and headquarters in Japan to develop a business strategy and plan. It is an exciting opportunity to be involved in leading growth in the Australian market.
Responsibilities:
Conduct market research and analyze macro (eg. PEST) and micro (eg. Competitors, Distribution structure, and Consumer behavior) environment through desk & field research, store visits, and gathering information from other companies, etc.
Develop market entry strategies tailored to the Australian market, such as business strategy, business plan, and marketing strategy, including determining the entry product category.
Provide insights and recommendations to members in Japan HQ based on market intelligence and industry trends.
Support negotiations with potential partners, distributors, and suppliers to establish a strong presence in the Australian market.
Carry out tasks in accordance with the instructions of the chief of representative office.
Requirements:
More than 5 years of marketing strategy planning and execution experience in personal care related companies
More than 3 years of experience in profit & loss planning and control from a marketing point of view.
In-depth understanding of the Australian FMCG market, consumer preferences, and regulatory environment.
Experience in communicating with major retailers in Australia, related to the toiletry market.
Strong communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
Preferred but NOT essential experience.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing market entry strategies, driving revenue growth, and building strategic partnerships.
Experience in Oral care and Beauty care categories.
Experience in introducing new products or developing new sales channels.
Experience in analyzing Australian toiletry market data (both qualitative and quantitative data).
