Role Overview:
Join our client's dynamic team as a Sheetmetal Trades Worker, responsible for sheet metal work as well as setting up and operating sheet metal working machines. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring precision components and finished products meet our client's exacting standards, contributing to our manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities:
• Read and interpret drawings to determine project requirements and materials.
• Working with various metals and materials.
• Marking out metal sheets.
• Operate sheet metal related plant and equipment such as guillotines, folders and rolling machines.
• Operating press break and other metal drills to cut metal stock to template/guidelines.
• Use of various machine tools and hand tools used in the manufacturing process.
• Collaborating with a dedicated team to achieve production targets and maintain efficiency.
• Finishing components into final products with spot/MIG welding, and other methods of joining, etc.
• Ensuring OH&S regulations are complied with at all times.
Requirements:
• Completed trade certificate or have 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Relevant products and industry knowledge.
• Previous experience with sheet metal fabrication machines is advantageous, not required.
• Desirable, but not essential, to have experience operating a CNC press brake.
• Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbally.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong safety focused work ethic.
