Transvent is a leading player in the round duct and pipe industry, specialising in the manufacturing of a diverse range of products including fume extraction systems, condenser and chiller pipework, commercial air conditioning units, water treatment pipework, and other related industries. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and understand workshop drawings and plans to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fabrication techniques.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel materials.
• Utilise power rollers, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery effectively.
• Work with precision and attention to detail to assemble and weld components according to specifications.
• Adaptability to learn new processes and solve problems efficiently.
• Provide video evidence of assembling and welding pipework or similar components, showcasing the ability to follow drawings and instructions effectively.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in reading and interpreting workshop drawings and plans.
• Demonstrated fabrication skills.
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Experience working with stainless steel and mild steel.
• Familiarity with power rollers, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.
• Ability to provide video evidence of previous work.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Formal training or certification in welding or fabrication.
• Previous experience in the duct and pipe industry (preferred).
Examples of Work:
• Laser-cut patterns transformed into lobster back bends.
• Fabricated stainless steel transitions for dust extraction systems.
• Completed pipe spools manufactured from customer drawings.
