ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client Ivory Group is seeking Accountant on a permanent full-time basis to join our Financial accounting team in Sydney.
The key responsibility of the accountant will be working alongside the Financial Controller to deliver key month end tasks on time, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, process journal entries and liaise with key stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial statements and reports.
Responsible for preparation of journals, and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis and ensuring all reconciling balances are cleared on a timely basis.
Liaise with business units to capture and reflect accurate accounting impacts.
Be the first point of contact by responding to financial enquiries from business units in relation to gathering and interpreting data.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the closing process.
Preparation of relevant audit schedules as part of the end of year process.
Preparation of Financial statements
Preparation of BAS returns
Preparation of management reports
Reviewing the cost and income for the business and presenting to management on a monthly basis.
Organizing the budget process and forecasting on a monthly basis.
ABOUT YOU
Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proactive mindset and experience in financial accounting field. Your strong analytical skills and detail-oriented approach would play an imperative role in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Key capabilities for success in this role include:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with CPA/CA qualification (completed or in progress).
2+ years work experience in financial accounting/reporting.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Salary: $70k to 120K
