About the role
Improve collaboration between government agencies, non-government organisations and private sector providers to assist in facilitating the delivery of a coordinated, multi-agency post disaster response to communities affected by Southeast Queensland rainfall and flooding. The position aims to improve community resilience via community outreach and the delivery of relevant information sessions, training programs and linkages for community agencies responding to people in distress post disaster.
About you
The successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health values:
Responsible for delivering post disaster mental health recovery services through the application of advanced clinical knowledge, skills, and competency according to contemporary practice and standards of care. This includes engaging with community organisations to identify people who have experienced significant distress, are exhibiting early signs of stress-related disorders, and/or are at risk of developing mental health disorders.
