As a result of continued growth, our team is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hardworking Heavy Diesel (HD) Mechanic for an immediate start.
The Role:
Site based working from the depot in Helena Valley
Compliance in Environmental, Quality and Safety Standards
Work as part of a team, overseeing HD Mechanic Apprentice, and Offsider
Look after and assist in:
Fleet maintenance
Fault finding
Mobile and workshop servicing
Repairs on a wide range of vehicles and plant equipment
Ordering and collecting parts

Pre-Requisites:
Trade Qualification (Essential)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a HD Mechanic
Minimum HR Drivers Licence (HC or MC Preferred)
Current First Aid Certification (Preferred)
Construction White Card (Preferred)
1st and 2nd COVID-19 Vaccination Dose
Ability to pass Pre-Employment Medical including Drug and Alcohol screening
Be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
Competent in performing routing maintenance on machinery
Sound knowledge of heavy-duty equipment
Knowledge in plant equipment (Desirable)
Ideal Candidate will:
Use and apply knowledge and training to perform mechanical diagnosis, repairs, and service on a wide range of equipment and machinery
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience in managing a team
Experience in meeting targets and KPI’s
Possess mechanical aptitude and enjoy learning new skills
Have leadership and communication skills
Have strong OHS awareness & work ethic
Have the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment safely & efficiently
Have excellent attention to detail
Have excellent organisation and time management skills
Maintain a clean and tidy workshop
Must be able to travel, as required
