ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will be responsible for all aspects of operating CNC flatbed routers including running programs, loading and unloading materials, tool changes, daily service checks and anything else required to operate the machine safely and efficiently. Additionally, the role may have some responsibilities for completing high quality and time efficient fit-out work for Dongara Marine.
Key responsibilities include:
Set up and operate machines to output CNC programs provided.
Inspect completed parts as they are unloaded to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
Troubleshoot day-to-day machining and equipment issues.
Perform basic machine maintenance including cleaning and tool replacement in accordance with established company procedures.
Assist with internal and external fit-out jobs on new vessels and prepare vessels for launch.
Complete maintenance on existing vessels including refits, windows, and doors.
Undertake assigned cabinet making and installation or composite work.
ABOUT YOU
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
Minimum of 3 years previous work experience as a CNC Operator.
Well organised with a strong attention to detail.
Effective time management skills and able to stick to a deadline.
A focus on WHS and commitment to actively maintaining a safe work environment.
Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical problems that arise.
Capable of standing for extended periods of time and undertake manual handling tasks.
Current Forklift licence.
Desirable Criteria:
Certificate III in Carpentry or Cabinet Making
