Men in Cloud, recruiters are delighted to be working with our client Cheap Mobile Repair Pty Ltd who are looking for a skilled and experienced Hardware Technician.
About the company:
Cheap Mobile Repair is a premium provider of hardware gadgets repairing service. We started our journey in the year 2000 and since then we have served thousands of customers in the New South Wales area with our efficient, dependable, and prompt services. Cheap Mobile Repair pride themselves on customer service, repair quality, and competitive pricing. They are looking for a full-time Hardware Technician to work in their store.
Location: Burwood, NSW 2134
Position: Full-time
Salary range: $60,000 -$80,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identifying hardware problems in mobile devices, computers and laptops through testing and troubleshooting techniques.
2. Physically repairing or replacing defective hardware components
3. Conducting thorough quality checks on repaired devices
4. Interacting with customers to understand their hardware issues,
5. Providing estimates for repair costs and processes.
6. Performing upgrades to improve device performance
7. Disassembling equipment as required to enable inspection and diagnostic testing
8. Deploying (Installing, configuring, testing) necessary drivers, operating systems, and other software
9. Assisting with data recovery from malfunctioning or damaged devices, using specialized software and tools.
10. Keeping track of inventory levels for hardware components, tools, and other materials needed.
11. Conducting post-repair testing and calibration to ensure that all repaired devices meet industry standards for performance and functionality.
12. Keeping abreast of the latest trends, developments, and technologies in mobile and laptop hardware.
The successful candidate must have the following:
• Strong experienced technical background
• Sound knowledge to deploy (install, configure, test), maintain and repair hardware and peripherals
• Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
• Reliable and hardworking nature
• Great time-management skills and discipline
• Ability to move shifts and be flexible
Skills and experience
• Minimum 2 years proven experience as a Hardware Technician/Computer & Mobile phone Technician/ related field
• Relevant certification/qualification preferred
• Australian experience is essential
• Current skills across all popular brands of computers, smart phones and tablets
• Experience working in a reputable repairer ideal
• Chip level repair skills
• Troubleshooting skills
Australian citizen/Permanent residents preferred
