HD Diesel Motor Mechanic – AV Trucks
Full time – minimum 38 hours per week plus overtime is available, Saturdays optional
From $40 per hour plus Superannuation
Due to continued growth at AV Trucks and strong customer demand positions have become available for an Automotive Technician/Motor Mechanic with Heavy Duty Diesel Qualifications and experience to be part of our organisation.
Candidates who have a minimum of three years of relevant experience, hold an AQF Certificate III including at least three years of on-the-job training are invited to apply. Applicants with experience on Iveco, Hyundai or European brands are preferred
Candidates will be required to:
• test and repair diesel engines and the mechanical parts of motor vehicles along with transmissions, suspensions, steering and brakes.
• diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
• dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check parts
• repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, and refer to service manuals as needed
• perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-up.
• testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
• diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
• inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.
