The Position
The Traffic Controller will contribute by performing highly skilled tasks in assisting with the maintenance/construction of roads, bridges, drainage and other works as directed by the Supervisor Delivery Services or delegate. These tasks will require the Traffic Controller to operate in a complex, dynamic environment as a specialist accountable for delivering the Traffic Management and Control strategy for Council, and leading its implementation, ensuring consistent, efficient and safe operations at our worksites and for road users within the community.
This role will also be responsible for establishing a practice for developing Traffic Management expertise within the Council workforce and, when required, undertake general labouring duties to assist in construction and maintenance of Council?s infrastructure.
