Looking for
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. You will assist in various dental procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Your friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills will contribute to a positive patient experience.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have.
• Assist the dentist during various treatments and procedures, including handing instruments, mixing materials, and using suction devices.
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment, maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper techniques, patient safety, and accurate imaging.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, medical histories, and dental charts.
• Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, handle patient check-ins and check-outs, and manage billing and payments.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Monitor and manage inventory of dental supplies and materials, placing orders and ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including strict adherence to infection control protocols and guidelines.
• Perform various administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, and maintaining the office environment.
• Utilize dental practice management software for scheduling, record-keeping, and patient communication.
• Take impressions of patients' teeth, create temporary crowns, and perform other lab duties as needed.
• Assist in managing dental emergencies, providing initial care and supporting the dentist during emergency procedures.
• Coordinate patient referrals to specialists, track follow-up appointments, and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor, building rapport with patients and ensuring a positive experience.
• Assist in the administration of local anesthesia, apply fluoride treatments, and perform coronal polishing as permitted by state regulations.
Skills & Attributes:
• Diploma or Degree in a related field.
• Certification as a Dental Assistant (preferred).
• Proven experience of 2 years as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
Job Type & Salary:
• The base salary will be AUD 60,000- AUD 80,000 plus superannuation.
• This will be permanent full-time job.
