The Opportunity

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Lysaght business as our NSW Sales & Marketing Manager with a preference to be based in Emu Plains, Sydney. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

Our NSW team makes an important contribution to our overarching business strategic objectives and is proud to support our customers, suppliers and the community. We’re looking for a supportive and driven individual to guide our engaged and high performing NSW sales and customer service team. Of course, you won’t know everything about our business overnight – that’s why we have structured onboarding and an internal support network at the ready. If you have robust experience in a professional sales leadership role, and further career aspirations, your success in this diverse role can prepare you for a variety of other career pathways with us.

What Will You Do?

Leading our NSW sales and customer service team, working collaboratively with our production team, you will:

  • foster an inclusive high-performing team: coach and motivate your team to further enhance capability, performance and engagement levels
  • optimize the state sales budget: develop and execute a commercially astute sales strategy and plan and performance target
  • drive business outcomes: strive to exceed volume and earnings targets in collaboration with the wider business
  • build meaningful customer relationships: continue to grow collaborative partnerships with our existing customers whilst actively pursuing and identifying new business growth opportunities
  • continue to enhance our customer experience: ensure our already excellent and sustainable customer experience model is upheld and supports our customer’s journey now and into the future

More About You

We don’t require you to have steel experience however ideally you will have sales and marketing experience in the building and construction or manufacturing industry.

Additionally, you will bring:

  • a desire to lead, engage and further develop the team plus a hunger to grow the business
  • exceptional customer relationship management, listening and influencing skills
  • an excellent customer focus with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • proven ability to build a first class industry reputation and maintain longstanding relationships in market
  • the ability to build constructive partnerships with peers and functions to achieve business outcomes
  • a curiosity and desire to grow via new channels to market plus new product and service offerings
  • well-developed commercial acumen and an understanding of what’s required to deliver sustainable performance
