Burgtec is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team at our Head Office in Berkeley Vale, NSW. This new role is a key part of our restructuring efforts, aiming to streamline processes and enhance client satisfaction.

Over the last 40 years, It has remained at the forefront of design, continually injecting new products into its already well-established range of task chairs, workstations, tables, storage systems, and complimentary visitor, breakout, and soft seating pieces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spend 70% of your time on the road managing sites and 30% in the Berkeley Vale office.
  • This is a Sydney project focus role but we require flexibility to conduct day trips to sites in Canberra, Brisbane, and Melbourne as required
  • Bridge the gap between sales and operations to ensure seamless project execution from initiation to completion.
  • Conduct regular site visits, manage on-site issues diplomatically, and effectively communicate project goals and progress to ensure strong and positive relationships with clients, installers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Engage in pre-project activities, including documentation, supplier pricing, and RFQs, to support sales closures and prepare for operational handovers.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues early to keep projects on track and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, define objectives, create schedules, and manage resources to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify potential risks, analyze their impacts, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure costs stay within approved limits while identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for project deliverables through regular reviews and assessments.
  • Assess and manage changes to project scope, requirements, or schedules, ensuring modifications are documented, approved, and integrated into project plans.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to junior project managers and team members to foster their growth and enhance their skills

  • 5-10 years of proven experience in Senior Project Management within furniture, construction, or a related industry
  • Engage in pre-contract stages and collaborate with Sales on technical closing procedures as needed
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and rapport-building skills for internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated team player proficient in MS Office and Project Management software
  • Willingness to travel for interstate projects and commitment to ongoing skill development
  • Preferably hold tertiary qualifications in business, project management, or related fields
  • Strong organizational, communication, and delegation skills
  • Located near Berkeley Vale and its surroundings
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential project issues
  • Experience in pre-project activities, documentation, supplier pricing, and RFQs to support sales closures
  • Manage installer and supplier relationships efficiently
  • Adhere to Burgtec Core Values with a positive, can-do attitude and keen attention to detail.

  • Competitive salary package: $120,000 - $150,000 plus Super.
