Our company specializes in designing and manufacturing innovative, high-quality fibreglass components for the automotive and transportation industries, ensuring durability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze blueprints, drawings, and detailed specifications to understand and plan welding projects.
• Select, clean, and prepare metal stocks and fibreglass components for welding and assembly.
• Operate hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines to cut and shape metal sections and pipes.
• Use a variety of tools and techniques to bend and shape materials, adjusting methods based on material properties.
• Ensure precision in the alignment of parts using appropriate measuring instruments and tools for a flawless assembly.
• Execute various welding techniques to join metal sections effectively, ensuring structural integrity.
• Conduct thorough inspections of welds to verify the quality, ensuring they meet design specifications and standards.
• Employ finishing techniques such as polishing, filing, and acid bathing to enhance product quality.
• Maintain equipment and clean up welds to ensure a professional finish and functionality of the final product.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a welding role.
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Proficiency in a range of welding techniques and metal fabrication methods.
Remuneration: The successful applicant will be offered an annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
