Bundaberg Christian College are currently looking for a Secondary School Teacher to join their team in Bundaberg.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively engage in staff meetings, devotions and committees;
- Actively promote the College to the Bundaberg community and communicate professionally with students and parents on wellbeing, co-curricular and academic matters;
- Attend College functions as required;
- Communicate professionally with colleagues on matters concerning the positive direction of the College and students;
- Contribute to and engage in the pastoral care program of the College, including teaching Christian Living, preparing and delivering devotions and the overall spiritual development and teaching of students;
- Ensure support, safety and wellbeing is provided to students;
- Get to know the learning needs of students in their care and plan learning activities that cater for a wide range of student abilities;
- Incorporate a flexible and innovative range of teaching strategies to differentiate and deliver the Australian Curriculum in a distinctly Christ-centred manner, catering for a diversity of student needs and learning abilities;
- Maintain teaching/learning programs, unit outlines, student profiles and other curriculum documentation as required;
- Participate positively in the co-curricular program of the College to nurture the needs of the students;
- Pro-actively engage in relevant professional development and provide learning opportunities to Colleagues based on professional development attended;
- Role model the RISE values to students, colleagues and the community;
- Use technology to compliment the teaching and learning context and to engage with other members of the teaching profession;
- Utilise formative and summative assessment methods, provide individual feedback, analyse data and write reports to enhance student learning.
To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with a relevant bachelor degree or higher qualification and at least 2 years of post-qualification employment experience as a Secondary School Teacher.
