OVERVIEW
This is a fulltime role reporting to the company owner. It involves the planning and administration of programs , special projects and support services of a large commercial beef farm. This is a versatile role covering agricultural development, people management, regional property development and construction activities.
The successful candidate is expected to live fulltime on the property which is approximately 25km on a dirt road from the nearest town.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Relevant tertiary qualification at the level of bachelor's degree or higher.
Minimum 3 years relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualification, but tertiary education favoured.
Experience in managing complex construction developments
High level of computer literacy and advance competence in Microsoft office suite
Proven experience managing people
Experience in working power tools, operating plant, trucks and tractors
Fluency in English and a NSW Drivers licence.
Detail minded and motivated
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collecting and analysing data of farm property/ infrastructure
Documentation of observed property defects and management thereof
The development of action lists, reviewing and negotiating variations with suppliers and sub-contractors
The coordination of sub-contractor activity across all current and future projects on properties
Ensure site induction procedures adhered to
Responding to inquiries and resolving problems concerning contracts, projects, services provided, and persons affected
Management of invoices and progress claims reporting information to the company owner
Working with tradesmen, farm hands, engineering and building professionals, owners and others to ensure goals are met
Co-ordination of requests for information (RFI's)
Project cost management in accordance with agreed budgets
Advising company owner on matters requiring attention and implementing their decisions
Overseeing work by contractors
Preparing and reviewing submissions and reports concerning weekly activities on the properties
Assist owner in adding further commercial value to existing properties
Assist in coordination of commercial beef farming operation as required
SALARY
$70-$100K per annum depending on experience
