The Opportunity
MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees has once again partnered with Bengalla Mining Company for its highly successful annual apprenticeship intake .
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor at Bengalla Mining Company, you will be mentored by qualified tradespeople over a four-year period to gain electrical knowledge and skills within the mining industry.
Your main responsibilities will include electrical repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, and component change outs in field and workshop environments.
Other duties will include installing wiring, circuits, high voltage switching, insulated cables, connecting switches, outlets and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and process control.
Your involvement within the maintenance team will include efficient and continuous operation of all assets on a 24 hour, 7-day open cut mine site.
At the completion of the apprenticeship, you will become a qualified Electrician and earn a nationally accredited qualification, UEE30820 Certificate III
