Full Time Senior Architectural and Building Technician
Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 + superannuation
Terrigal / Central Coast
North South Carpentry & Joinery Pty Ltd is recruiting for a Central Coast based Senior Architectural and Building Technician to join our expanding team and company footprint into the Central Coast region.
Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements to generate quotes and estimates, using door schedules,and structural drawings for projects, tenders, and live work quoting and documentation, for carpentry construction and joinery manufacture
- Review tender packs, scope projects, and work closely with drafters, factory, and site teams to align project specifications with client requirements and industry standards.
- Assist the CAD team to produce drawings based on sketches and project specifications
- Visit construction sites to measure and analyse site conditions.
- Estimate labour and material costs and prepare budgets.
- Ensure projects are completed within stipulated timeframes and budgets.
- Assist project and construction managers with resource planning and estimating.
- Inspect work and materials for compliance with specifications and standards.
- Identify and implement improvements to operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with clients, builders and architects, in the Central Coast area, fostering strong relationships and understanding, from the outset of projects.
Required skills
- Has a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
- 7+ years of experience in the joinery & carpentry industry.
- Experience in CAD, Cubit or other measurement, pricing or drawing software or suite
- Has experience in both residential and commercial carpentry construction and joinery manufacture
- Has experience in developing operational improvements for previous organisations based in Australia
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
