We are looking for an experienced Radio Telecommunications Technician to join an expanding team in Mackay. Our client manages 11% of the world's airspace, including the upper airspace for Nauru and the Solomon Islands. Complete corrective and preventative maintenance of radio / satellite / radar equipment in the Mackay & Surrounding Region
Working in a hands-on technical position using tools & equipment
Maintaining effective working relationships with staff and ensuring effective coordination between projects
Timely and accurate data entry into the maintenance management systems
Promoting workplace health & safety in the workplace
Undertaking other tasks as directed by the team leader or other senior staff What you'll need to succeed
Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering - MINIMUM
Previous knowledge and experience of equipment such as VHF / UHF / HF communications, satellite and terrestrial bearer systems, radio navigation and basic networking
Valid Open Driver's Licence
ACMA Cablers Licence - Desirable
First Aid - Desirable
Restricted Electrical Licence - Desirable
Be living locally in the Mackay Region
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical
Be an Australian Citizen - as per client's requirements
