Home Based Care Therapeutic Specialist

About the role:
The Therapeutic Specialist - Home Based Care role sits within the MacKillop Clinical Services team and reports to the Northern Metropolitan region Principal Practitioner. The position works closely with the Managers and Coordinators of the local region to deliver clinical and therapeutic services for children, young people, families and carers who are clients of the programs.  
The Therapeutic Specialist Home Based Care is responsible for guiding and supporting the development of secure attachment between carers and children and young people, conducting assessments, developing therapeutic treatment plans and leading reflective practice to support carers and staff to develop their therapeutic skills. In addition, the Therapeutic Specialist will, as required, champion the further implementation of All About Me books and This Is Us books, Power To Kids , and Trauma-Informed Care within the Home-Based Care Program
