The key objective of this role is to acquire fundamental clinical knowledge and skills in dental/oral health by undertaking and completing an accredited course with an approved partner Registered Training Organization (RTO). You will be expected to have good written and verbal communication, time management skills, a positive attitude, work well in a team and have intermediate level IT skills.
You will be required to work in a professional manner whilst gaining experience in all aspects of Dental Assisting including infection control, chairside assistance to the clinicians and sterilisation of instruments/equipment in a supportive working environment.
Your days will be fast paced and include;
- Working with, and responding appropriately to direction given by members of the oral health team, to contribute to safe, high quality, efficient and effective clinical care.
- Successfully completing all modules for the Certificate III in Dental Assisting training program
- Developing skills to enable provision of optimal patient care.
- Demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicating with a variety of people
- Compliance with National Quality for Health Care Standards for the management of the clinical environment, equipment, and correct process for the sterilisation of reusable medical devices
