Your new role We are seeking a s26 (permanent or secondment for 12 months) APS6 Procurement and Contracts Officer. This role involves contributing to strategic procurement planning for an upcoming period, as the agency is managing a wave of large, complex procurements. You will have the chance to collaborate with various subject-matter experts and showcase your skills in contract management and lead a small team. What you'll need to succeed
You must be a permanent APS6 Employee with the Australian Federal Government (or on a merit list at the APS6 level).
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder experience are required, as the stakeholders are highly sensitive and demanding.
The scope of the work is broad, so strong time management skills and attention to detail are essential.
A solid understanding of the procurement process within the Federal Government is necessary.
Skills in procurement, contract management, stakeholder engagement, project management, and communications are required.
The ability to assist with workshops and facilitate educational sessions.
Qualifications in Procurement and Contract Management are highly desirable.
