This critical client facing role sits at the centre of our integrated sales structure. The role will have complete revenue, client and P& L responsibility for an assigned territory of direct and
independent agencies advertisers.
Reporting to the Director of Sales - Nine Plus, the Group Business Director - Nine Plus (Radio) will have 10 direct reports, in a team comprising 7 Business Managers and 3 Account Executives.
This role will be responsible for delivering a business plan that will maximise Nine’s revenue and revenue share from the assigned territory across all assets. The role will lead client discussions and be responsible for the development of advertising solutions for clients within their portfolio using Nine’s assets and senior leaders to drive increased revenue.
The Group Business Director is the glue that brings Nine together in the eyes of our clients and business partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the benefits of radio advertising & Nine’s commercial strategy.
- Create, lead and mentor a performance driven sales team across multiple disciplines within the broader sales function.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how our broadcast, digital, radio and publishing assets work, both in isolation and as an integrated solution.
- Provide an understanding of key clients within the portfolio and create a strategic plan to increase revenue across all revenue streams.
- Build a deep understanding of not just key client’s business, but also of the category, locally and globally, including key initiatives, overarching challenges, market leading work, what has worked here and in other markets etc.
- Develop and maintain strategic and valuable relationships with clients and agency partners whilst also maintaining internal stakeholder relationships.
- Lead cross functional teams from across the business to deliver responses to high level briefs.
