Working as a Supply Chain Trainee, you will be exposed to a variety of tasks which may include:
Accurately process incoming and outgoing goods in a timely manner
Ensure all parts are warehoused in the correct locations and are stored in a safe, methodical and professional way
Loading / unloading of spare part and new equipment deliveries
Completing new equipment arrival and departure condition reports
Operate handling equipment to lift, place and remove goods
Operate specialised equipment, such as electronically guided order pickers
Pack, label, and seal goods with a professional presentation
Update SAP system with order collection details. i.e., con note/customer name
Assist with regular stocktakes
Report any inventory damage or quantity discrepancies
Manage inventory levels in correct, safe, and effective locations based on their regular consumptions
Where applicable to the component carry out stock rotation following the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle
Ensure all stock delivered / collected is carried by the transport company / customer in a safe manner and meets all legal requirements
Carry out accurate daily inspections of all work areas and keep clean, tidy, and free from hazards
As required assist customer walk-ins by interpreting their spare part requirements and handing over orders to the Spare Part Interpreter team
As required assist with pre-deliveries and washing/detailing of new equipment
To be considered you must have the following:
High level of organisational skills, including high attention to detail
Keen interest in undertaking a traineeship and completing a qualification in Supply Chain Operations
Ability to assess workplace risk
Enthusiastic and strong work ethic
Computer literacy is required to learn the SAP system to process and update orders and managing inventory levels
Able to obtain a police clearance
Current driver's licence preferred but not essential
Prior to offer of employment the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination 'fit for work' (including passing a drug and alcohol screen).
