2 Chefs @ TacosNTequilas Elsternwick
We are currently looking for two chef positions to be filled at our established restaurant in Elsternwick restaurant. The role requires energetic person who can deliver during busy times who is able to handle pressure and deliver the best. The person has to be appropriately qualified and experienced.
Key Responsibilities
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Maintains a Guest focus while performing duties.
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items.
• Plan menus, adjust costing and estimate food requirements.
• May train other kitchen staff and apprentices.
• Open and close shifts
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is must with a preference for a Diploma in Hospitality level qualification at the least TAFE level.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar commercial kitchen environment.
• Professional level understanding of the working of a commercial kitchen including maintenance of equipment, accurate recordkeeping and stock labelling, stock rotation, and safe storage.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and meet the legislated Occupational Health and Safety standards and Food Safety and Hygiene

• Salary within a range of $68000 - $75000 plus Super
