The successful candidate will be adept at treating a range of patients, from residents of an aged care facility to individuals within the community requiring reactive physiotherapy treatments to address physical and functional impairments and expedite recovery from injuries as well as proactive interventions to improve mobility, balance, and conditioning to help people stay active, socially engaged and continue to enjoy a fulfilling life.
Specific tasks include:
• Assessment of patient’s physical and functional abilities and limitations and develop a customised physiotherapy program to meet their health objectives.
• Conduct one-one-one exercise programs to improve muscle strength, mobility and balance.
• Develop treatment plans to restore physical and/or functional capabilities following an injury or illness.
• Pain management treatments.
• Conduct post-fall assessments and work with aged care facility staff to create falls prevention plans.
• Monitor and re-assess effectiveness of treatments on a regular basis to make any necessary adjustments to treatments and programs
