Job Title: Machinist - Fitter & Turner (Tool Maker) Location: Hawthorn Job Type: Temporary (Long-term, at least 6 months) Hours: Flexible (7.30am-3.30pm / 8am-4pm / 8.30am-4.30pm) Monday - Friday Overtime: None required Are you a certified Fitter & Turner with expertise in tool making? We have an exciting temporary opportunity for a skilled Machinist to join our team in Hawthorn. As a Tool Maker type Fitter & Turner, you'll be responsible for precision machining, fabrication, and assembly of mechanical components. This role does not involve maintenance tasks but rather focuses on manufacturing and tooling processes. The successful candidate will be working in an Engineering workshop operating Manual Machines such as Lathes, Milling Machines , Surface Grinders and a wide variety of Hand tools. Role Requirements:
Certification as a Fitter & Turner or Toolmaking
Proficiency in machining techniques
Experience in tool making preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
